Thursday, August 4, 2016 – Fresno, CA – Coming off of their sixth podium finish of the season, PR1/Mathiasen Motorsports drivers Robert Alon and Tom Kimber-Smith are looking forward to continuing their podium streak at round 9 of the WeatherTech sports car championship this weekend at the Continental Tire Road Race Showcase at Road America.
With only three prototype challenge races remaining, both Kimber-Smith and Alon have set their sights to finish as best as possible as the event could play a major role in the eventual championship. Alon and Kimber-Smith are currently second in the PC point’s championship, only 17 points behind Alex Popow and Renger van der Zande of Starworks Motorsports.

Tuesday, July 26, 2016 – Fresno, CA – The PR1/Mathiasen Motorsports team scored their sixth podium finish of the season after a P2 finish at the Northeast Grand Prix at Lime Rock Park last weekend. The two-day weekend kicked off with a pair of practices and qualifying on Friday where drivers Robert Alon and Tom Kimber-Smith put down impressive times around the 1.5-mile Connecticut road course.

Thursday, July 21, 2016 – Fresno, CA – The PR1/Mathiasen Motorsports team are headed to Lakeville, Connecticut for the eighth round of the IMSA Weathertech Sportscar Championship, the Northeast Grand Prix at Lime Rock Park. The team saw great success at the 1.474-mile track with a win in 2015. Local favorite Tom Kimber-Smith along with his teammate Robert Alon hope to repeat last year’s success with another win at Lime Rock this weekend.

Tuesday, July 12, 2016 – Fresno, CA – With less than a week between the Sahlen’s 6 Hours of the Glen and the Mobil 1 Sports Car Grand Prix, the entire IMSA Weathertech paddock had a huge job to get their teams and equipment packed up and on the road from New York and set up again in Bowmanville, Ontario only four days later. With such a quick turnaround, the teams had a limited amount of time to get the cars set up and ready to go for the first sessions on Friday, but the PR1/Mathiasen Motorsports team and drivers proved to be more than ready for the Canadian circuit.

Thursday, July 7, 2016 – Fresno, CA – After a disappointing finish at the Sahlen’s 6 Hours of the Glen, the PR1/Mathiasen Motorsports team is ready to move past the New York race and travel north of the border to the Mobil 1 Sports Car Grand Prix at Canadian Tire Motorsport Park.
The weekend at Watkins Glen started out promising, with Robert Alon qualifying the car in second position for Sunday’s race. But when the green flag dropped on Sunday, the team quickly realized they had an electrical problem and had to make several pit stops to be able to stay in the race. The trio of Alon, Jose Gutierrez and Tom Kimber-Smith did cross the finish line at the end of six hours but were unfortunately several laps down.
