Monday, February 27, 2017 – Fresno, CA – The PR1/Mathiasen Motorsports team completed a successful two-day test at Sebring International Raceway late last week. Although the team still struggled early on with some mechanical issues, and had to replace the engine from the Rolex 24 overnight on Thursday, they were still able to make great progress on Friday in preparation for the 12 Hours of Sebring.

Wednesday, February 1, 2017 – Fresno, CA – In their debut race in the IMSA WeatherTech P2 Class, PR1/Mathiasen Motorsports finishes P9 after facing torrential rains, near freezing temperatures and mechanical gremlins during the 2017 Rolex 24.
The PR1 team and drivers Tom Kimber-Smith, Jose Gutierrez, Michael Guasch and RC Enerson completed a successful pre season test at the Roar earlier in January. Although the test was not free of issues, they were able to use the time between the Roar and the Rolex 24 to remedy those glitches and prepare for the 24 Hour race.
PR1 Set for P2 Debut at the Rolex 24 at Daytona
Wednesday, January 25, 2017 – Daytona Beach, FL – PR1/Mathiasen Motorsports is set to return to the biggest stage of the 2017 IMSA WeatherTech Sportscar Championship with their debut in the P2 class at the Rolex 24 at Daytona.
After completing three successful days of testing at the Roar Before the 24 two weeks ago, the team and drivers Tom Kimber-Smith, José Gutierrez, Michael Guasch and Verizon IndyCar Driver RC Enerson are ready to get back behind of the wheel of their brand new Ligier JS P217 at the twice around the clock endurance race.
PR1 Completes Productive Test at the Roar
Wednesday, January 11, 2017 – Fresno, CA – After three days of testing at the Roar Before the 24 at Daytona International Speedway, the PR1/Mathiasen Motorsports team looking forward to making the final preparations to the #52 machine looking ahead to the Rolex 24. The Roar before the 24 marks the first test for the team with their new Cosworth powered Ligier JS P217. Although they have completed several hours of testing with the Ligier development car at Sebring International Raceway, this was the first outing for the brand new #52 team car.

Wednesday, January 4, 2017 – Fresno, CA –With the Rolex 24 at Daytona only weeks away, PR1/Mathiasen Motorsports is happy to announce Verizon IndyCar driver RC Enerson will complete the driver line-up for the 24-hour endurance race later this month.
“We’re pleased to add RC to the line-up for the Rolex 24. I was able to meet him at Sebring a few weeks ago, and I think he’s going to be a great addition to the team,” said team owner Bobby Oergel.
