Tuesday, July 12, 2016 – Fresno, CA – With less than a week between the Sahlen’s 6 Hours of the Glen and the Mobil 1 Sports Car Grand Prix, the entire IMSA Weathertech paddock had a huge job to get their teams and equipment packed up and on the road from New York and set up again in Bowmanville, Ontario only four days later. With such a quick turnaround, the teams had a limited amount of time to get the cars set up and ready to go for the first sessions on Friday, but the PR1/Mathiasen Motorsports team and drivers proved to be more than ready for the Canadian circuit.Read More
Thursday, July 7, 2016 – Fresno, CA – After a disappointing finish at the Sahlen’s 6 Hours of the Glen, the PR1/Mathiasen Motorsports team is ready to move past the New York race and travel north of the border to the Mobil 1 Sports Car Grand Prix at Canadian Tire Motorsport Park.
The weekend at Watkins Glen started out promising, with Robert Alon qualifying the car in second position for Sunday’s race. But when the green flag dropped on Sunday, the team quickly realized they had an electrical problem and had to make several pit stops to be able to stay in the race. The trio of Alon, Jose Gutierrez and Tom Kimber-Smith did cross the finish line at the end of six hours but were unfortunately several laps down.

Sunday, June 5, 2016 – Fresno, CA –PR1/Mathiasen Motorsports continued their podium streak on the streets of Detroit with a third place finish at Round 5 of the IMSA Weathertech Sportscar Championship on Belle Isle.
The Detroit Belle Isle Grand Prix was only the second street race that Robert Alon has ever competed on, and for the second race in a row, he qualified the #52 PC machine on pole after scoring a pole position at Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca in May.
Wednesday, June 1, 2016 – Fresno, CA – After their first win of the season at Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca, the PR1 Mathiasen/Motorsports team is ready to carry that momentum to the Chevrolet Sports Car Classic in Detroit, MI. The Motor City race will be the second and final street course the IMSA Weathertech Sportscar Championship will visit in 2016.
Both PR1 drivers Robert Alon and Tom Kimber-Smith hope to carry the energy from their first win of the season at Laguna to Detroit and finish the weekend with another trip to the podium. For rookie driver Alon, he’s set to learn a brand new track and gain more street course experience.

PR1/Mathiasen Motorsports endured a treacherous run at the 64th Annual Mobil 1 12 Hours of Sebring on Saturday. The day started under sunny skies and beautiful south Florida weather, but by the two-hour mark of the race, the forecasted rain made its way to the track, and so did the lightning. The race was red-flagged for the fifth time in 64 years for two hours and fifteen minutes.Read More
Wednesday, March 16, 2016—Fresno, CA—PR1 Motorsports heads south to the infamous 17-turn, 3.74-mile track that is Sebring International Raceway. After completing a successful two-day test there in February, both the team and drivers are ready to get back on track for the 64th running of the Mobil 1 12 Hours of Sebring.

Thursday, February 4, 2016 – Fresno, CA – After 24 hours of racing at the most iconic race in North America, the No. 52 PR1/Mathiasen Motorsports team finished second in the Prototype Challenge class at the first race of the WeatherTech Sportscar Championshp – The Rolex 24 at Daytona.
The team started the twice around the clock race at the back of the class after electing not to qualify in the rain and risk damaging the car, but after a few short green flag laps, Tom Kimber-Smith had their PC machine in P1. Daytona rookies Robert Alon, Nick Boulle and Jose Gutierrez, all completed flawless stints and were able to extend their lead over the other competitors.

May 28, 2015 – Detroit, MI -- The 2015 TUDOR United SportsCar Championship enters round four for the PC category this weekend at the 13-turn, 2.35-mile course situated on the streets of Detroit and Belle Isle. The Chevrolet Sports Car Classic Presented by Metro Detroit Chevy Dealers will be a 100-minute race on a temporary street circuit and PR1/Mathiasen Motorsports will be returning once again with drivers Michael Guasch and Tom Kimber-Smith following their impressive showing at Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca. During the event, Guasch nearly secured the PC class top qualifying position, only missing the pole by a mere four thousandths of a second while Kimber-Smith ran at the front during every practice session, leading the final warm-up before the race.
